ENLOE MUSEUM features TELEGRAPH
Telegraph service has returned to Enloe, Texas, via a working display housed in the Clara Foster Slough Museum of Enloe. The display is setup with a WWI outpost display in the military section of the museum, and communicates from the field telegraph to a 'head quarters' telegraph.
Students are able to communicate using the telegraph keys, and morse code charts, to experience the original 'texting' devices !
The telegraph key sets where sourced and donated by Jeff and Lane Duncan, and wired using original telegraph poles, that were used in Delta County.
Plan a visit to the Clara Foster Slough Museum, and make sure to try your hand at 'texting' using the telegraph !
