Clara Foster Slough Museum Military Expansion Project Prepares For Grand Opening

The Clara Foster Slough Museum in Enloe, Texas is nearing completion of its Military Exhibit Expansion Project, and is hoping for a Grand Opening ceremony announcement for 2017 soon.

The multi year expansion project of the museum facility, will allow for the current military exhibit materials to be housed in a single area.  The expanded floor space will also allow for new military artifacts to be displayed.  By relocating the current military artifacts, the expansion will also allow for the museum library to be utilized more efficiently.

The expansion area has also been designed, to allow for guest speakers to address a group or conduct meetings.  The area will allow for guest seating and program props or a speaker podium.

A grand opening event will be planned, to be held in conjunction with the Texas World War I Centennial Commemoration in 2017.

For military contributions to the Military Exhibit, please stop by the museum or contact Richard Duncan at (903)784-8114.

Enloe Museum intern Lane Duncan, takes a break in the new Military Exhibit section of the museum.  Military artifacts are soon to be on display, as the expansion project nears completion.
