The Cotton Belt Railroad Symposium of 2011 is approaching and a delegation of Enloe Museum members will be in attendance.  This annual event is to be held at Texas A&M - Commerce, on September 23-24, and will run in conjunction with the Bois d'Arc Bash celebration.  More information on the event can be found at or by clicking the link to the right of this page.

The Enloe Museum members will be hoping to find information and/or artifacts for inclusion into the museum archives.  To kick off the Cotton Belt Railroad event, we have sourced some images from Enloe to share.
(by clicking on each image, the image can be enlarged for easier viewing)

Over the next weeks and months, we would like to see the railroad artifacts expanded at the museum.  An effort will be underway to provide a railroad specific collection of memoralbilia, so if you have anything you wish to contribute, please drop by the Enloe Museum to share in the collection.

*******  COTTON BELT RAILROAD SYMPOSIUM RECAP   ***************************

Well, the Cotton Belt Railroad Symposium held in Commerce, was an awesome event.  Members and friends of the Enloe Museum were in attendance and had a great time.  In addition to an information filled program, participants were treated to an excellent luncheon along with a great band providing entertainment.   Afterwards, we attended the Dyer Junction dedication ceremonies and made a quick tour of the activities going on during the Bois d' Arc Bash celebration on the square.
